ABOUT US

Welcome

We are Pastor Chris and Sarah Dagan. We are so happy you have found our site. We have over 20 years ministry experience, including full time as missionaries in Papua Niugini for 8 years. We lived in a remote village in the Eastern Highlands Province, we were actually at the same height as Mount Kosciuszko, over 2000 metres above sea level. It is where we raised our children. We have four amazing boys and it is privilege and honour to be their parents and to continue to teach them as they become adults.

Our passion is God, his word, and teaching others about his love and mercy. This site is built around the same 5 principles we used to raise our sons, found in Deuteronomy:

Deuteronomy 6:5-9

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

1) Love God

2) Memorise his word

3) Teach his word to others

4) Wear his word

5) Put his words on your house

We have a great desire to reach the next generation for Christ, to get Christians thinking about God’s word for themselves, for Christians to stand up for truth, for Christians to boldly proclaim the gospel and to live lives that give glory to God.

All Glory to Him.

Why Revive As The Corn?

The phrase ‘revive as the corn' is taken from a prophesy in Hosea concerning Israel. The prophesy talks of the blessings that will come if Israel turns back to God. One of those blessings is that “they shall revive as the corn” (Hosea 14:7). It isn’t a blessing for the land or a promise of physical prosperity, it a picture of what will happen to the people themselves.

At the beginning of 2023 mental health issues uprooted our entire lives. We had to move countries, lost almost every physical possession we owned, we had to give up ministry and we even lost all sense of purpose for a time.

But God in his goodness has allowed healing. He has revived us.

Our surname, Dagan, is actually the Hebrew word for corn. So, in the midst of our struggles, this phrase took on a special meaning to us. God has revived us. God revives the corn and he can revive you too, wherever you are. Our prayer for each one of you is that God will revive you, so you can become fruitful.
